But first, answer this:
Do you know anyone with anxiety?
If not, do you know someone who gets anxious often? Or someone who doesn't get anxious often, but when they do get anxious it's somewhere along the lines of a full blow anxiety attack?
Chances are you do, as anxiety is essentially an emotion. And humans feel emotions all the time.
I am not what you would call someone with "an anxiety disorder." I haven't been told I have anxiety, I don't take anxiety meds, nor do I have frequent panic attacks. But I do know one things,
I get anxious.
Sometimes, very anxious. Sometimes often.
And as someone who can be very anxious, I speak from experience when I say that people with anxiety never get tired of hearing these things:
- I'm here for you
- I love you
- I value you as person
- Things like "I'll go with you if it's too scary"
- Your feelings are valid
- Your opinions matter to me
I don't know exactly how many of you can relate to this, but my hope for this post is to make people aware of this subject.
So apply this to real life if you can. Even if you don't know someone with anxiety, maybe text or email one of the things listed above to someone who you think could benefit from hearing it.
That's it for today guys! :) Keep a look out for a writing type post coming later in the week.
Love you all, and thanks for reading!
