Meet my new companion! Jack Jack and his adoption story

I recently had two hamsters, Ana and Elsa.

Elsa passed away back in December not even a month after I got her,

And just three weeks ago, Ana died as well. 

But just yesterday, I went to my local Humane Society to see if they still had a hamster I'd been watching on their website for awhile, and the only hamster they had left at that adoption center. 

My Dad and I were waiting in line with our filled out adoption sheet, when the people in front of us in line, stepped up to the desk and said

"We were going to adopt the chinchilla, but my daughter is interested in the dwarf hamster" My heart sank. I'd been watching this guy for MONTHS waiting for a chance to get in and adopt him, and we were beaten to him by 2 minutes. I had several concerns, but the biggest being that by eavesdropping (scold me if you like) I found out that the people had never owned a hamster before, and were prepared for a chinchilla, but their daughter had changed her mind last minute. I was devastated, and ashamed to say I started crying right there in the adoption center. 

After waiting for about 20 minutes, I saw the people leave EMPTY HANDED. I sighed with relief, but had to wait another half and hour before I could meet with someone, and Jack Jack.

It was love at first sight, I didn't even feel the need to read over his paperwork, or spend time deciding, I loved him and wanted him.

So I brought him home.

Age: 8 months 14 days

Qualities: Very fluffy and soft, not very active, EXTREMELY fat.

Loves: Food.

Weakness: Food

Favorite Thing: Food

Hobbies: Eating food.

You get the point. He chooses NOT to run on his wheel, so he needs daily time in his Run Around Ball.
