Dear Followers,

I have something I would like to bring to your awareness:

A friend emailed me today, with an email she in turn had received. It reads:

Dearest brothers and sisters,
Today I come to you with a heavy and grieving heart.  I pray that this
e-mail will also grieve each of you and move you to your knees in prayer and your hearts to action.

To make a long story shorter, our twenty-seven year old sister in
Christ, Meriam Ibrahim, is currently in a prison cell in Sudan along
with her two young babies awaiting her death.  In just two short weeks, she will be receiving 100 lashes and shortly after, death by hanging. Her crime?  Refusing to denounce the Name of her Lord Jesus. The lashes alone will most likely take her life.

Oh Church, will we just sit idly by, lost in our comfort, and do
nothing? The Name of our Savior has been blasphemed, our sister harmed, a family ripped apart, and innocent babies endangered.  Will we not rise up to wipe the spit off of the face of our Jesus?  Will we not wash the feet of our sister in prayer?  Will not our hearts be raised to action?

Here are four practical ways in which you can make a huge difference in the life of our precious sister.
1. First, please stop and pray for Meriam...for strength,
grace, peace, health, favor, protection and her immediate release.

2. Write or call the Embassy of Sudan and politely request
that they release Dr. Meriam Ibrahim and her two children, at:
Embassy Of The Republic Of Sudan
2210 Massachusetts Ave, NW
Washington, DC 20008
Ph: 202.338.8565

3. Call the White House to urge President Obama to speak out against Dr. Ibrahim’s treatment in Sudan and to request she be
given an immediate visa to travel to the US with her children.
{Meriam just gave birth to a baby girl in prison in the last couple
of days and has her 20 month old son with her as well.}

4. Meriam's husband and two children are United States citizens and
yet the White House has refused to become involved in correcting this injustice.  Currently, there is a White House petition circulating on
Meriam's behalf,  asking the United States to pressure the Sudanese
government to release Meriam and her children so she can escape
execution and be rejoined with her husband in the U.S.  If this petition
gets over 100,000 signatures, then the White House will be forced to
respond to it. All one has to do is register to sign and anyone 13 and
older can participate. You can sign the Petition here:
https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/act-case-meriam-ibrahim-sudan-and-her-baby-and-toddler-prison/D1x1q4VG

Would you please sign the White House Petition on Meriam's behalf?
Would you then please ask your friends, families, neighbors,
co-workers, and anyone else you can think of to sign as well?  Will
you please commit to praying for Meriam and her precious family as they suffer for the Name of Jesus?

Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.
Hebrews 13:3"

I had heard of Meriam's situation, but had not made any commitment to "take action" so thank you SO much Chloe!!!!

Dear followers, Please pray for Meriam, and PLEASE sign this petition:

Act in the case of Meriam Ibrahim in Sudan and her baby and toddler in prison.

We strongly urge the administration to take action in the case of Dr. Meriam Ibrahim, the Sudanese mother who with her toddler and newborn baby (who pending the proper documentation are American citizens) is languishing inside a prison in Khartoum. While Meriam awaits execution for the “crime” of converting to Christianity, her children are forced to be at her side in a prison that a 2008 U.N. document reported as having an infant mortality rate of one per day in the summer. No innocent child should be in this situation. We urge you to pressure the Sudanese government to release Meriam and her children so she can escape execution and possible death of her children and be rejoined with her husband in the U.S. Please grant her expedited safe haven in the U.S., where she could seek asylum.
You can sign the petition here:

Thank you. <3
P.S. Also, SPREAD THE WORD! Email people the link to the petition website, this post, etc. PLEASE bring this to people's awareness! Together, we could save Meriam and her children.
All my love,
Felicia.
